Chance of a lifetime – The Contriver 偏财 (“Pian Cai”)
In times of uncertainty (“such as the 2020 pandemic”), many would resort to contraction. It is the human’s default defensive mechanism to preserve for rainy days in order to ensure our existence. This is our “lizard brain” doing its work. On the contrary, we have also heard this saying, “Heroes are born in times of chaos”. The Chinese call this 乱世造英雄. So who do you choose to become at times like these? To charge forth or flee? To become Heroes or Lizards? 英雄还是狗熊呢?
The person with a strong and dominant 偏财 (“Pian Cai”) aka indirect wealth BaZi structure would call times like these the chance of a lifetime! These are people who would capture and jump on the opportunity bandwagon when they ‘smell’ one. They would not shy away from adversity and would find the tiniest disparity to offer a solution. If you could not go to the gym due to a lockdown, they will bring the whole gym facility right to your doorsteps. They are people who would go all out to make things happen. Traditionally, they are known as the “Contriver – 谋”.
They need to work with people in the market space. They are good strategists. These are people who would thrive well when they join multiple extra co-curricular activities in school that involve bringing in people, running campaigns, raising funds, or even starting a market space.
In the workplace, these people usually thrive in business, sales, start-ups because they can identify market trends, needs, and demands. They are very sensitive to money and value. They like to work in areas that can bring them multiple returns for the same amount of effort. They are usually better at running the business, being self-employed, doing sales, planning company, and business strategy, exploring new markets, or giving new ideas that challenge the existing norm.
On the flip side, a person with overly strong 偏财 (“Pian Cai”) BaZi structure might be short-tempered and always like to take short cuts. They are highly driven and would usually hate waiting for people. On the extreme, they are always angry and pushy like the green man -Hulk. If things are going too slow, they would resort to taking quick shortcuts. This attitude sometimes might get themself into trouble.
