Exploring the undiscovered realms – Attainment 5

Recently I met up with a long time friend and we had a long chat over tea. One of the topics which “Wows” me was his recent adventure to Mount Kinabalu.

I asked him about the experience and so on, but what made me curious was his reason to do it. So I asked, “what made you decide to climb Mount Kinabalu?”

He said, “I don’t want to regret not ticking off this bucket list while I still can.” He told me that when he was young he had always wanted to do it but was hesitating. Eventually, work catches up, kids growing up and then all the mundane drills. One day he thought, there will never be a time that is called “Mount Kinabalu time”. It is either you do it or not do it. Salute to him and I congratulate him.

Many times we ponder and dabble in safe lands because we are uncertain of what lies beyond the unknown. However, deep inside us, our heart yearns to climb over the hills to discover uncharted lands. Our hearts seek to explore, uncover, and to conquer. Yes, there could be cliffs and pits lurking beneath that could make us fall, but if we constantly fear the slip, we may never discover our realms of possibilities.
