Pythagorean Summation, Attainment, and Master Number.
Thank you so much for the strong interest and participation in the various posts on Numerology. As we have gotten the basic traits of all the 9 numbers laid out, it is time to take things up a notch and introduce a slightly more advanced topic of numerology.
By now, you would have been familiar with how to calculate your Destiny Number. So far, we have learned to perform a direct summation on all the single digits of your date of birth until we come to a final single-digit number. This is the simplest direct method to obtain your destiny number.
Direction Summation Method:
Example 1:
DOB – 8 Dec 1989:
Step 1: 8 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 9 = 38 (Direct Attainment Number)
Step 2: 3 + 8 = 11 (Master Number)
Step 3: 1 + 1 = 2 (Destiny Number)
Many of you would have noticed a double-digit number before we end at the last single digit destiny number. Some of us have one-step double-digit, while some have two steps. As shown in the above example. These double-digit numbers are known as attainment and/or master number. These double-digit numbers add another layer of information to your original destiny number.
There are a couple of ways to obtain your attainment and master numbers. Today, I would like to share with you another method to obtain your attainment, master, and destiny number. This calculation method is known as the Pythagorean summation method. This is also sometimes known as the traditional numerology life path calculation method. This method of summation is quite similar to the direct summation approach. However, for this method, you will have to sum your date of birth Day / Month / Year individually to its respective single digits first. After that, sum up all the individual single digits of the Day / Month / Year to obtain your final single digit Destiny Number.
Pythagorean Summation Method
DOB – 8 Dec 1989
Step 1:
Day (DD) – 8 (single digit)
Month (MM) – 1 + 2 = 3 (single digit)
Year (YY) – 1 + 9 + 8 + 9 = 27 = 9 (single digit)
Step 2:
8(DD) + 3(MM) + 9(YY) = 20 (Pythagorean Attainment Number / Master Number)
Step 3:
2 + 0 = 2 (Destiny Number) **Same as above method**
Notice both the direct and Pythagorean summation methods will end up with the same destiny number. However, the difference between these two methods would result in a different first and/or second summation double-digit numbers. Both calculation methods are valid as each reveal another depth of information to your numerology numbers. (Take note of these numbers for now as we will be discussing them in upcoming posts.)
For now, try to calculate your destiny number using the Pythagorean method and see if you got a different double-digit attainment number/master number compared to the direct summation method.
Let us know in the comment if you have a different double-digit number using the above different methods.
